New Project

Due to Circut City going out of business, every store is having a liquidation sale, including their display cases. A small prize that most people don't take note on is their lightboxes for CD and movie displays. A glowing 48"x48" LLcoolJ or Incredible Hulk can be bought (light fixtures, frame, and all) for only 50 bucks a pop, a strong friend and a tool box to dismantle it from the store. Replace the angry green beast with some specially printed photography and you have one incredible piece of work. Here are some of the prints I'm going to be showing in lightboxes soon at a charity event in Bixby Knolls, March 15th.

Around the tables

After a great night of friends and music, a couple of good friends came by to spin some records and goof around. This style of capturing motion and essence is probably my favorite form of photography.

Night shots from the last full moon

The half moon shows a face of plaintive sweetness
Ready and poised to wax or wane;
A fire of pale desire in incompleteness,
Tending to pleasure or to pain:-
Lo, while we gaze she rolleth on in fleetness
To perfect loss or perfect gain.
Half bitterness we know, we know half sweetness;
This world is all on wax, on wane:
When shall completeness round time's incompleteness,
Fulfilling joy, fulfilling pain?-
Lo, while we ask, life rolleth on in fleetness
To finished loss or finished gain.

Alexis Gregg

Alexis Gregg, an amazing ceramics artist had a show recently that I was asked to shoot. I love how much her characters take on a life with their own personality and humor, and jumped at the chance to shoot them.

...and I'm BACK!

So I've moved into downtown Long Beach and have fallen in love with the place. My new residence is filled to the brim with people, energy and music, which helps inspire more and more of my photography. Here's a day with my new place and neighborhood once the rain cleared.
